Rebekah Templeton Contemporary Art is proud to present SPOTLIGHTS, an open call exhibition juried by Jon Lutz featuring the work of Eleanna Anagnos, Amy Chan, Tim Eads, Jane Fox Hipple, Benjamin Gardner, Dante Lentz, Jacque Liu, Daniel Petraitis, and Leah Tacha.
āIām honored to be invited to be the juror for this open call at Rebekah Templeton Contemporary Art. SPOTLIGHTS brings together (nine) of the artists whose subtle interconnections and unique approaches dictated the direction of the show. Each artist was new to me and are related in that they seem to be working with a similar combination of factors: a kind of personal vision, taking atypical angles on ordinary subjects, and breaking the narratives of abstraction. The way that these emerging artists are attempting (consciously or not) to challenge levels of taste, tradition, and content left me excited about the art being made today.ā
